Howdy, and welcome to the site. Now that you've found us, I hope you'll like what we're trying to do here and stop in often.

Some of the things you'll find on the site include: a humor column I write for the Franklin County Citizen/The News Leader; some cowboy poetry I created while living out west; and a few recipes from my work in Lake Living Magazine called The Tugaloo Chef. You'll also find a page with a few awards I've received for journalism; a plug or two for some friends; and a way to contact us if you feel the need.

I hope to continue to expand the site in time, so stop in regularly to see what we've added. Once again, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll be a regular around these parts.

An Overview of the Website

Humor Column

Everyone likes to laugh every now and then and it's my intention to help you out with that. Every other week I write a humor column for the local newspaper. I post some of the best ones (and others that aren't quite as good) here for the rest of the world to see. Give them a look!

Cowboy Poetry

I don't claim to be the next Baxter Black, but I do claim to have written a few cowboy poems. I've performed cowboy poetry at the Festival of the West in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Picacho Peak Trail Ride and Cowboy Poetry Gathering, the Wickenburg Cowboy Poetry Festival, and the Booth Museum's Annual Cowboy Gathering and Chuckwagon Cookoff.

The Tugaloo Chef

I know a thing or two about cooking, and I try to share some of that with the folks around here in a magazine called Lake Living. I decided, even though it's not always cowboy fare, to include some of those recipes here. Hope you'll try 'em out and let me know what you think.

Awards

I admit it. This is just a page where I brag about myself a little. I don't see anything wrong with letting folks know something good has happened to you.
